This award was received from Rouge Park in recognition of Markham Green’s commitment to environmental stewardship. A letter of commendation was also received from Frank Scarpitti, Deputy Mayor, Town of Markham.

Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary Certification
Markham Green was fully certified in six aspects of stewardship: wildlife and habitat management, integrated pest management, water conservation, water quality management, outreach and education.

Legacy Run Founding Sponsor
Markham Green is a founding sponsor of the Legacy Run which has risen over $800,000 for the Markham-Stouffville hospital.

Town of Markham Mission Green Participant
Markham Green approached the Town of Markham to be the first Golf Course to participate in the diversion of organic wastes form land fills.
